Flos Ktribe F1 Floor Fabric

One of many lamps designed by Philippe Starck for FLOS, the K Tribe range is very simple in design but also very effective in its appearance. The polished aluminium stem and base support the head which comprises an inner white opal polycarbonate diffuser that hides the lamp source over which sits a pleated fabric shade.  This shade is an ivory/cream colour when off and is a warmer colour when the light is on.

One thing worth noting is that this lamp is shorter than many floor lamps but sits perfectly next to a sofa or armchair.
