One of many lamps designed by Philippe Starck for FLOS, the K Tribe range is very simple in design but also very effective in its appearance. The diffuser comprises an inner white opal polycarbonate diffuser that hides the lamp source over which sits an outer PMMA diffuser. This is the clever bit as, when the lamp is off it cannot be seen through but when on, it has a translucent appearance and the light comes through, highlighting the shape of the inner diffuser.
The fitting hangs on 3 steel wires and a power flex from a white polycarbonate ceiling rose.
